A well-stocked baking toolkit is so important for home bakers looking to create delicious treats with ease. That said, the most expensive tools aren't always your best option. Below, I've listed some of my favorite baking and cooking essentials to help make your kitchen needs a breeze!

Baking Essentials

Quality measuring cups and spoons for accurate measurements are the foundation of any great recipe. A versatile set of mixing bowls, spatulas, and a dough scraper are also must-haves for smooth prep and cleanup. Lastly, no toolkit is complete without an assortment of baking sheets, cake pans, and cooling racks. With these essentials, you’ll be ready to bake up a storm, no matter your skill level! P.S. I’ve linked the sites below ;)

Measuring cups and spoons from GoodCook at Target are great. I love cooking with stainless steel tools, but it’s not necessary! Feel free to stop by your local Dollar Tree or borrow some from a friend.

Again, I’m a sucker for stainless steel cookware, but these glass mixing bowls are perfect for home bakers. They come in different sizes for dry and wet ingredients, and they even include a lid, making them multipurpose!

Spatulas are so important when baking. They allow for you to easily scrape the sides of the bowl when mixing and make sure you get every last delicious bit of mix into the pan. These are a great option because not only are they silicone (no sticking!) they are also heat resistant, making them multipurpose.

Here we have a well-priced dough scraper. You might be asking yourself, 'Do I really need this?' Well, I’ll tell you why the answer is yes! Dough scrapers make cleanup easy when making pasta dishes or any other recipes that require rolling out dough. They’re also great for cutting pasta shapes without the risk of cutting yourself.

Baking Trays, pans and cooling racks

I haven’t linked any products here because, honestly, I don’t have any preferences! I’ve used baking pans and trays from quality brands like Cuisinart all the way down to Dollar Tree, and I haven’t noticed much difference. You’ve got some wiggle room to experiment, so feel free to let me know what your favorites are!

Although not necessary, I just don’t feel right cooking any Italian dish without wooden spoons. It’s how I’ve seen my grandma and mom do it all my life, and I swear it adds something special to every recipe. (Extra points if it’s been passed down from generation to generation!)
