I am a home baker who grew up making delicious creations with my grandmother and mom. My grandmother is the foundation of my love for baking. I have vivid memories of sitting at the kitchen table, rolling out meatballs with her and cutting biscuits. My grandmother was from West Virginia and had Italian heritage. These cultures are beautifully intertwined. She provided hearty Southern-style comfort meals and Italian delicacies.

My grandmother on my mom’s side was a first-generation American. Her parents came from Italy and brought many of their traditions here. My mom proudly tells stories about her grandfather's garden, which was plentiful with tomatoes, peppers, and herbs. That said, my great-grandparents were adamant about immersing themselves in their new American culture. So, my mom’s cooking blends Italian roots with traditional American cuisine.

Playing around in the kitchen with different recipes from various cultures has been a staple in my journey as a baker.

With that said, many of my relatives' recipes have been lost. As I get older, the importance of curating a space for family recipes, as well as those I’ve mastered along the way, for future generations, becomes more and more significant!
